Here you have some of the most famous recepies of the legendary Hypocras


Le Viandiers version:
Per liter wine; 20g cinnamon, 7g ginger, 3g grains of paradise, 180g sugar

Le Menagerie de Paris version:
Per liter wine; 10g cinnamon, 3g ginger, 1 nutmeg, 3g cardamom, 3g grains of paradise, 200g sugar

Forme of cury`s version:
Per liter wine; 10g cinnamon, 20g ginger, 3g long pepper, 3g nutmeg, 7g cardamom, 3g grains of paradise, 1 clove 250g sugar

I prefer the spieces whole and fresh if possible. Let them soake in the wine for preferably one month. Doesn´t have to be stored chilled. Good luck
